Prayer ministry training is based on the teachings of John and Paula Sandford as expressed through Elijah House Inc (USA).

Providing insight and understanding as to why we experience difficulties in our lives and relationships and how Holy Spirit led prayer ministry can help to overcome these difficulties.

Graduates are encouraged to serve under their local church leadership.

Elijah House NZ is a charitable trust registered with New Zealand Charities Services.

Our aim is to participate in the reconciling work of God to restore broken relationships and bring healing to wounded hearts and lives.

OUR LEADERS

All School facilitators and small group leaders have been approved by EHNZ after a process of supervision and approval.

OUR CORE BELIEFS

  • The triune nature of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • The Bible as the inspired Word of God, and together with the Person of the Holy Spirit, is the foundation for prayer ministry.
  • Prayer ministry is the work of the Word and the Spirit
  • We believe the Church is the body of Christ transcending denominational boundaries.
  • We believe in the dignity and uniqueness of every person being made in the image of God.
  • Elijah House believes in commitment to the local church.

KEY SCRIPTURES

  1. Honour your father and mother… that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you. (Deuteronomy 5:16)
  2. Do not judge, lest you be judged. (Matthew 7:1-2)
  3. Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7-8)
  4. For in that you judge another, you condemn yourself. (Romans 2:1)
  5. The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour. (Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18-19).
