Restoring Relationships

Every year hundreds of people receive prayer through Elijah House NZ, and Elijah House Based Prayer Ministers. Here are some endorsements from church leaders, and also personal testimonies of training and healing.

Elijah House ministry was one of the first inner healing models we encountered nearly 25 years ago and we still use the model today in our church and Transformation Centre. We carry a high value on the work of transformation that Jesus wants to do in the lives of all believers. The Elijah House principles are a gateway for Jesus to transform hearts. We personally have received healing from painful situations in our past and we have seen God do wonderful healing in the lives of people in our ministry. The equipping schools are thorough and scripturally sound with experienced volunteers that can raise up people who desire to minister to others. We know that without the ministry of Elijah House 25 years ago our marriage may not have survived. We wholeheartedly recommend people experience this precious ministry.

Eastgate Christian Centre (Auckland)

Eastgate Christian Centre has enthusiastically partnered with Elijah House NZ to host schools and seminars for the past few years. Over this time we have seen many people healed and set free from past traumas and wounding. We’ve seen a significant number step up into new positions of leadership and calling after having received prayer ministry in previous months. We believe that creating opportunities for training Christians to pray confidently for others and opportunities to receive this deeper style of ministry is vital to helping our church to achieve our God-given mission.

My wife and I have journeyed through all four of the Elijah house teaching schools. We found this to be extremely helpful with our own personal journey of healing with our past baggage, and our past wounds. We have been able to rewrite some of our story that was made so many years ago. Elijah house has the ability to do deep inner healing and replace the lies that we’ve believed about ourselves with the truth that we are sons and daughters of God and that we are made in his image. The training also equipped us to be able to do prayer ministry with other people who are carrying wounds in our congregation and help them on the journey of restorative healing. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who is wanting to go on a healing journey, to be all that God has made us us to be.

FROM OUR LEADERS

My EH journey quickly turned into a calling. God spoke to me from Isaiah 61:1-2, “He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…to console the mourners in Zion—to give them a crown of beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and a garment of praise for a spirit of despair.”

God impressed on my heart how important this ministry is and that the church needs to be equipped in these important times. Many Christians are not reaching their full potential in God and EH has tools to help set them free from what holds them back. Part of my call is to lead a group of EH graduates in Hibiscus Coast and to pursue training as a Small Group leader in the schools.

By His grace God has grown me so much in this journey, both personally and in ministry, and I look forward to Him releasing me all He has called me to.

I encourage all graduates to seek God for how He could use you. For some this is an Esther call, to be available to serve, ‘for such a time as this’.

I feel privileged and honoured to sit with people and hear their stories and listen to their hearts. I am constantly amazed at how good God is and how much he wants to bring truth, set people free and heal broken hearts and lives. He is so kind and gentle in the process. Meeting others where they are at, loving them to life and inviting them to walk in their identity and God’s grace is such a joy.

My journey with Elijah House has been one full of adventures, filled with love, joy, tears and laughter. As I have walked with Elijah House I have learnt so much about the healing of the heart. To have trained through the schools and experienced healing and restoration within my own heart, and this is an ongoing journey, I have received the tools and ability (grace) to walk with others on their journey. Through the power of God’s love, I have seen God restore and heal the wounds of broken and shattered hearts. I truly wished I had found this opportunity earlier in my life and in my ministry. In this ministry there is no age barrier, and at my age where most would be seeking to retire – my ministry is just beginning, and I know that with the power of God’s love I can change the world one heart at a time. Elijah House has allowed me to belong, to a great God, a great ministry, and to a great family.

I was a little nervous going for Elijah house prayer ministry and I didn’t know what to expect but I felt loved and no judgement. I left laughing and joyful as I drove home.

More testimonies to follow…

I had spiritual heart surgery during the recent Training school. God removed a lie I had believed, unknowingly for approx 56 years! After talking around the present day fruit, the leader guided by the Holy Spirit, went deeper and eventually God shone his light on the lie. It was like God had a beam of light from heaven shining on the lie that God could not forgive me for disobeying His audible voice that many years ago, Instantly when I saw that this was a lie from the Father of Lies, it was like a bolt of lightning hit the lie and blasted it into smithereens. I agreed with God that this was a lie from the Father of Lies, because of course God would forgive me as Jesus had died on the cross so I could be forgiven. I knew all this truth in my head but it had never touched my heart. The tears of repentance turned instantly into tears of praise and joy. God is SOooooo Awesome!

God used several prayer ministers over years to take off some of the layers so nothing has been wasted. God gave me three pictures, (another breakthrough): 1) That it was if I had come out of a tomb into glorious light. I could SEE me, now bathed in light. 2) That like Lazarus, God called me forth and then unwrapped the grave clothes from around my head, my body, my hands and my feet. I am FREE now to be used by him. 3) That like Peter, I had denied the Lord, but He recommissioned me on the beach (times three!), like Jesus did with Peter.

I know the team doesn’t do ministry to be thanked, but my heart is so full of praise to God that I just wanted to share it with you all. To God be all the honour, praise and glory.
